Ages 12-17 and 18+

The Programs:

Our programs aim to promote self-sufficiency and strengthen families. We offer youth positive options and help them to make productive lifestyle choices. We also assist them in maintaining relationships with their loved ones, and we inspire them to contribute to our community.  

Home 1:

House of Love provides group home services to young girls ages 12-17. 

Home 2:

House of Love provides supervised independent living to women aged 18 and over. 

 

All About Me Pathways to Independence

This program is designed to assist residents in preparing for independence. Following needs are met through the program: resources, self-esteem, education, self-awareness, social connection, structure, trauma informed care, guidance, structure, spirituality, and health/wellness.

Behavior Modification

The Behavioral Modification Program is designed to assist residents in modifying their behaviors in order to successfully function in the community, at school, and in the house. The following needs are met through the program: discipline, personal hygiene, structure, coping skills, safety, guidance, recognition, appreciation, attention, anger management, nurturing, trauma informed care, and love.

Great 2 Community Engagement and Mentoring Program

The Great 2 Program is designed to connect the residents with community organizations that assist them in developing the life skills needed for success. The program meets the following needs of the residents: positive role models, guidance, resources, safety, social connections, spirituality, and counseling.

Health Matters Program

The Health Matters Program provides education and activities to residents designed to assist them in developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The program meets the following needs: personal hygiene, wellness, health, education, nutrition, coping skills, and AODA.

HOL Housing Program

HOL Housing provides twenty-hour residential services to girl’s ages 12-17 (18 if still on an order). The program is designed to meet the following identified needs of the clients served: shelter, safety, security, social connections, structure, and family environment. Clients enter the program by referral from child welfare, Wraparound, or other Wisconsin child welfare county agencies. All residents must be on an active CHIPS or JIPS order.

Life’s A Beach Social and Life Skills Program

The program is designed to assist residents in developing the needed social and life skills to productive citizens in the community. The following needs are met through Life’s A Beach: independent living, recognition, safety, resources, social connections, education, personal hygiene, and guidance.

Parent Engagement Program

One of the greatest barriers to the success of youth involved in out of home care is the lack of parent involvement in the care of their children. The Parent Engagement Program is designed to address this issue. The following needs are met through the program: parenting, safety/security, love, guidance, reunification, nurturing, family connections, coping skills, and education.

Rethink Social Development

The purpose the Rethink program is to assist residents in their social development. Many youths come into the program without appropriate social interaction skills. The following needs are met through the program: social skills, AODA, conflict resolution, coping skills, trauma informed care, anger management, and community resources.

Spiritual Development Program

The Spiritual Development Program is designed to assist residents in understanding and addressing their spiritual needs. The following needs will be met by participating in the program: spirituality, coping skills, trauma informed care, role modeling, counseling, love, social connections, life skills, wellness, discipline, resources, and guidance.

The GREAT Job Readiness Program

The GREAT Job Readiness Program is designed to assist residents in developing the skills needed to secure and maintain employment. It is structured to meet the following needs of the residents served: education, coping, structure, personal hygiene, guidance, discipline, community resources, responsibility, and anger management.

The Scholar’s Program

Understanding that the majority of the youth come to House of Love with academic deficiencies, the Scholar’s Program is designed to support residents’ educational success. The needs met through this program include: education, leadership, recognition, guidance, discipline, connecting to resources, self-esteem, positive role modeling, and responsibility.
